I’ve always had a love of nature, and particularly of insects. When I began engaging more seriously with photography back in 2006 or so, these interests immediately pushed me toward macro photography. I bought a used Fuji FinePix Zoom, and I adored this camera. Sadly, this camera died a slow death around the time my son was born (2011) and I only just replaced it with an Olympus with a set of macro lenses in the spring of 2018. Although the point-and-click nature of the Olympus pairs well with my working mom gig, I can’t say we have the happy relationship I enjoyed with my Fuji.
